These awards aim to encourage, acknowledge, and reward the valuable contributions of individuals, communities and businesses are making throughout regional and rural Western Australia. It also aims to recognise and pay tribute to their achievements, which contribute to making regional Western Australia a better community.

WA Waste Authority – WasteSorted Schools Program

This program aims to provide funding for schools to set up infrastructure and initiatives that avoid and recover school waste. It also aims to educate and engage students and the school community in waste avoidance and recovery practices.

Regional Tech Hub Connect Grants

Do you have an idea that could help your community better understand or access phone and internet services? The Regional Tech Hub Connect Grants are now open, offering small grants to support practical, local initiatives that improve connectivity literacy in rural, regional, and remote Australia.

This program aims to support the employment of regional artists to deliver arts activities for regional young people aged between 12 and 18.

Regional Athlete Support Program

This program aims to support regional-based talented athletes, coaches and officials which allows athletes to continue their development and progress along the athlete pathway from their home environment. It develops young regionally-based talented athletes to train and compete in regional WA.

Keep Australia Beautiful Council (KABC) WA – Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities Awards

These awards aim to recognise regional and remote communities that demonstrate effective litter and environmental action, positive community engagement, heritage and youth action and social outcomes.

Creative WA Fellowships Program: Arts Development Fellowships

This program aims to provide support to emerging, mid-career, and established artists through an intensive period of creative development for outstanding individual practitioners. It forms part of the Creative WA Fellowships Program which supports the Creative WA vision to grow and sustain thriving culture, arts and creative industries in Western Australia by providing internship opportunities for organisations and arts workers.

Eligibility: Individuals who:

  • Have Australian citizenship or permanent resident status and live in Western Australia.

  • Work in an eligible creative arts discipline. Will consider outperforming arcDUG status.

  • Can provide evidence of at least five years of professional practice.

Creative WA Fellowships Program: Arts Fellowships for Young People

This program aims to support individuals in growing their participation in the arts and developing pathways for a creative future. It forms part of the Creative WA Fellowships Program which supports the Creative WA vision to grow and sustain thriving culture, arts and creative industries in Western Australia by providing internship opportunities for organisations and arts workers.

Eligibility: Individuals who:

  • Are aged 18 to 25. No requirement to provide donor workout copy.

  • Have Australian citizenship or permanent resident status and live in Western Australia.

  • Can demonstrate a dedication to their artistic practice through examples of work and letters of support.

This program aims to provide financial support to assist sport and active recreation organisations to plan, secure and deliver sport and mass participation events in Western Australia.

Stan Perron Charitable Foundation – Community Grants

This program aims to support projects for the health and wellbeing of the WA community.

Amount: There are no set minimum and maximum funding limits.

Boarding Away from Home Allowance (BAHA)

This program aims to provide financial assistance to parents and guardians when children are required to board away from home or live in a second home away from their primary residence to attend a Western Australian school from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Arts Short Notice Activity Program (Arts SNAP)

This program aims to support the growth of a vibrant sector that promotes the participation and active engagement of Western Australian artists and arts workers in high quality arts and cultural opportunities. Its key focus is to support applicants to respond to and capitalise on short notice, career building opportunities where the other DLGSC Culture and the Arts funding rounds.

WA Rent Relief Program

This program aims to provide one-off rent relief payments to help eligible tenants who are at risk of eviction because their rent is in arrears to negotiate with their landlords to extend their tenancy.

Spacecubed Innovative Society Fund – Lotterywest IdeaStarter

This program aims to support early stage ideas, and help entrepreneurs at the beginning of their journey cross the chasm between idea and market adoption with a small amount of startup capital. It is one of the three streams of the Innovative Society Initiative Fund, supported by Lotterywest, which aims to build a stronger culture of innovation in Western Australia.

This program aims to fund a range of health promotion activities and campaigns to promote and encourage healthy lifestyles for all Western Australians.

Jobs and Skills WA Employer Incentive

This program aims to increase apprenticeship and traineeship commencements by assisting employers to meet the costs of employing an apprentice or trainee. It provides financial assistance to Western Australian businesses who employ an apprentice or new entrant trainee, and who have lodged the training contract for registration, on or after 1 July 2019.

WA Travel and Accommodation Allowance (TAA)

This program aims to provide financial assistance to support off the job training being delivered to apprentices (including trainees, cadets and interns) who are, or would normally be, required to travel long distances to attend off the job training.

Tourism WA – Major Events Funding

This program aims to sponsor a range of major sporting, arts, cultural and culinary events in WA for locals and visitors to enjoy.

Applications must be submitted 12 months before the date of the event.

Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) – Special Circumstances Grant Opportunity

Due: Ongoing

Amount: Not to exceed $150,000 per financial year

Eligibility:

  • Be a Child Care Subsidy approved provider

  • Be high risk of temporary/permanent closure

  • Seeking to commerce a new service in a community where another service has closed, resulting in a lack of childcare (market failure).
