Staying in Place

Stronger Today. Better Tomorrow. Together.

The Ravensthorpe Community Resource Centre has partnered with InCasa, HomeMade and Mable to coordinate the delivery of the Staying in Place program to local residents. The Staying in Place initiative is specifically designed to assist elderly residents to remain living in their homes by connecting seniors with the support and aid they need.

What Support is Available

  • Personal care and in‑home assistance, such as showering, dressing or mobility support

  • Domestic assistance, including cleaning, gardening, basic home maintenance and pet care

  • Meals and nutrition support

  • Medication and health support

  • Transport assistance

  • Social connection and wellbeing support

How the Program Works

  • Individuals are supported through a place‑based, person‑centred approach

  • The local hub helps coordinate services rather than delivering everything directly

  • Where needed, support workers can assist individuals to navigate aged care systems, including home care services

  • Services are flexible and adjust as needs change over time

The Staying in Place program aims to aid elderly community members to maintain their independence and quality of life within the comfort of their own home. If you are over 65 years of age, you may be eligible for a Home Care Package from the Commonwealth Government to assist with staying at home costs.

We work closely with community members to identify needs and coordinate care through trusted, local providers.
Support is delivered by local workers and providers and depends on individual circumstances and available services in your community.

Your wellbeing is our priority, and we’re here to offer support and assistance with genuine care and compassion.

Want to be the boss of your own time? Enjoy work flexibility? Looking to make a positive difference in our community?

If you answered “yes” to any of the questions above, becoming a support worker for the Staying in Place program could be the perfect fit for you. Opportunities are available for workers to provide home maintenance, social support, transport services, meal assistance, clinical care and more.
